Mr. Rogers

I saw this link a few minutes ago and felt so nostalgic and even weepy (but in a good way), I wanted to share this for my "bit of happiness" for today. I was a faithful and devoted Mr. Rogers fan as a child and plan to "make" my kids watch him all summer this year. He taught me how crayons are made. Even in my professional training, I learned the accolades of Mr. Rogers and the positive influence he was and can still be on children.

Enjoy -- this is so cool:  http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=1017&sid=20749716#ooid=ppNGgwNTqQ4aiU17uJ0I0vEEy_56s3_e

  1. I totally love this. Mr. Rogers is awesome and I feel like my kids are missing out on a good thing in life. I recorded some episodes for them and they won't sit through it...
I do get a little creeped out when he says "garden of your mind" because his facial expression is weird. Still awesome nonetheless! :)

  2. Janie - you are so funny. The sound effects become just a bit devilish during the "garden of your mind" clips. But, doesn't watching this make you want to go out and be curious again?

  3. Totally! Oh, and for some reason I think the line "I didn't order any whistles" is funny. Good old Mr. McFeeley.

    1. Mr McFeeley -- he gave us all the impression that mailmen are NOT on a strict schedule. If only my FedEx man would stop and chat. . . maybe we could even open up my packages together. :-)

  4. I liked Lady Elaine, but not that old looking lady in make believe land. It was mainly my "older sister duty" to make fun of mr. rogers because the writer of this blog really liked the show!
