Get Well Soon

This is a good "smile" for Sunday.

Last week, my church had stake conference. Fortunately, my family sat in the very front :-). We got there about fifteen minutes before the start and my son marched right up to the front of the chapel and found half of a row open. So, we got to sit on "soft" seats for two hours.

Our stake president was unable to participate or attend because of illness. Afterward, when my daughter expressed concern, I suggested she write a card for him. I didn't think she would remember, but sure enough that was the first thing she wanted to do the next morning.

Here she is writing a card with her sister:

I snuck a look before sealing the envelope. I thought it was the sweetest card ever.
I marked out my daughter's names

  1. That is super cute. What nice girls! I want to know how it went sitting at the front for two hours... Sounds like a good time...
I have big wool socks on tonight. I think they are yours and I stole them.

  2. Sitting in front for two hours was better for my wiggle-worms than sitting in back on metal chairs for two hours. Jody sat with us, remind me to give you that whole story. It is a good one. I would like my wool socks back.

  3. Jane, I am sure those wool socks are Colette's or marci 's. if you choose to steal them, you must tuck your sweats into them then hike up your sweats really high!
Cole, your sweet girls are so thoughtful! And, still am impressed with your spot for stake conference. Never in my life have I even sat in the chapel, let alone clear up front! Lucky! And VIP status!

  5. Dudley is the last name of my stake president :-). I don't usually promote my girls addressing adults by their last names only (without a "Mr." or in this case a "President"), but this was so sweet, I couldn't change it.
