"3"

3 kids
3 beds
3 nights

My "happiness" today derives from having a working washing machine as each of my children had his or her own special night to throw up, sometimes giving me the "treat" of letting me go back to sleep for 30 or 60 minutes before going with a Round 2.

This is actually from Halloween, but it all kind of molds together in memory doesn't it?
Let's see what this night brings, my kids are convinced I will be the one up in the middle of the night throwing up. I can assure you, if this is the case, the washing machine won't be needed because I CAN make it to a sink.

  1. We had a similar middle-of-the-night incident with our 3-year old a couple of weeks ago. Team effort was required--I cleaned up the kid and husband cleaned up the bedding, bed frame, wall, and floor. I think I got the better end of the deal on that one!
p.s. I did have to smile because the baby woke up and thought there was a party going on, so she was laughing and playing in her crib, with a slightly puzzled smile every now and then as if to say--do you guys realize it's the middle of the night? ok, I guess!

  2. Linnae's story is great addition to yours.
If my kids even THINK they are going to bed with a tummy ache, out comes the beach towels and garbage can or throw up bucket. Then before I retire to bed, I demonstrate "how" they are to throw up properly and make them each show me how to do the steps.
    Promise.

  3. Thanks Linnae and so sorry. I can imagine myself not being very happy with baby waking up. In fact, I feel a headache just thinking about it. I was also glad to double team the throw up on the first night/child anyway. I took the bed to the washing machine and dear husband took the child to the bathtub - there was throw up in her ears, so I had the better end of the deal on this one.
Melissa, I have so much to learn don't I? My little neighbor girl tried to teach my kids how to hold throw up in the mouth so as to make it to the sink. It was quite a demonstration.
